The collection industry has been forced to change how it gets in touch with debtors as communications technology has changed. However, using modern communications technology does not come without peril. This live audio conference is aimed at walking debt collectors and attorneys defending debt collectors through many of the common pitfalls that are presented with the use of modern communications to contact debtors and will offer ways to avoid them. Specifically, the presentation will discuss the impact the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act can have on calls to cell phones, texts and emails.
